The paintings of the artist Benoît Huerre catch the eye through their particular and modern treatment of the construction of depth and the repartition of light. Trained as an engineer, Benoît Huerre has sought the technical means that would allow him to treat his canvas as a surface on which the superposition of layers and the materialisation of his image would not be the result but the process in itself. In this, his paintings join in their own way with the experiments of contemporary art.
